Take Care of Your Coach – Transnational Meeting in Umag

Our TCYC2.0 team gathered in Umag from 26–28 September 2025 for the second international project meeting. The event was hosted by Umag Volleyball Club, while Športno društvo Riba from Slovenia leads the project and keeps the whole partnership moving forward.

Coaches and sports psychologists from Slovenia, Croatia, Austria, and Portugal spent three days together learning, sharing and practicing new ways to take care of coaches’ mental health. Workshops focused on stress management, emotional regulation, and simple techniques that help coaches stay motivated and resilient in their daily work. Each coach also filmed a short video with their favorite tip – these will soon become part of an online platform available to all.

We’re already looking ahead: the next meeting will be in Tirol, Austria, hosted by our partner Kirchdorf Ski Club, from 6–8 March 2026. Until then, the partners will continue spreading the project’s message in their local clubs and communities.
